AGE of Central Texas (AGE)

AGE of Central Texas is a regional nonprofit organization that provides education and support to people all along the spectrum of growing older. AGE’sAdult Day Centers are designed for seniors who need help managing daily activities during the day, or who are at risk of feeling isolated and lonely. Aunt Bertha

Aunt Bertha is a referral network for social services that connect families with free and reduced cost social services that can help during tough times. For more information, please visit auntbertha.com.

Breast Cancer Resource Center

The Breast Cancer Resource Center is a place to ask questions, explore options, and connect with a diverse community of survivors, lifers, and thrivers who can relate in a way no one else can. All programs and services are offered free of charge to anyone affected by breast cancer regardless of income, ethnicity, education, sexual orientation, or social support. Family Eldercare

At the core of Family Eldercare’s mission is the philosophy that a supportive community is a great place to grow old. Family Eldercare carries out its mission through a variety of programs, which are designed to prevent abuse, neglect, self-neglect and financial exploitation of elders and adults with disabilities, prolong independent living in the least restrictive environment, and promote the health, well-being and dignity of elders, adults with disabilities and their caregivers. Flatwater Foundation

The Flatwater Foundation is dedicated to providing those diagnosed with cancer, their families and loved ones access to mental health therapy and family support. Hospice Austin

As the first hospice in Central Texas, Hospice Austin was established in 1980 to ease the physical, emotional and spiritual pain of any person in our community with a life-expectancy of six months or less, if the disease follows its expected course. Patients receive care in their own homes, at Hospice Austin’s Christopher House or in nursing facilities in Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Hayes and Caldwell counties. Patients are cared for by a team consisting of a doctor, nurse, social worker, chaplain, certified nurse aid, and volunteer. LiveStrong

LiveStrong provides direct services to anyone affected by cancer; connects people and communities with the services they need; and calls for state, national and world leaders to help fight the disease. It offers free one-on-one support to cancer survivors, caregivers and loved ones; develops community programs to address the day-to-day concerns of patients; and partners with institutions and policymakers to make a systemic change in the way the world fights cancer. Meals on Wheels Central Texas

delivers prepared meals and also offers a myriad of free services to clients through including in home care; minor and major home repairs; grocery shopping assistance; a monthly supply of shelf-stable groceries; extra, daily, shelf-stable meals for the nutritionally at-risk; veteran services; problem-solving therapies; rural meal delivery; Alzheimer’s respite care; and pet food and pet health care for our clients’ dogs and cats. Wonders & Worries

Wonders & Worries ensures that children and teenagers can reach their full potential, despite a parent’s serious illness. The organization works with each family to determine if the child or teen would thrive best in individual sessions or group sessions. For example, siblings may meet together or have separate support plans. Services are free of charge and available for ages 2-18.
